The Half Moon Split V is a combination of the Half Moon Cutter and Split V, creating a clear sound with very little rasp. Not only made for producing smooth cuts and high-pitched yelps, but this call is also a hunter’s go-to choice as a kee-kee call. The three-reed, aluminum frame, hand-free design keeps you confident and prepared to take your shot at the bird of a lifetime.
TECHNIQUE:
- Place the call in the roof of your mouth with the printed K&H logo on top and the reeds facing out.
- Place your tongue against the reeds, then apply pressure.
- Push air from your throat to produce notes.
Kee-Kee: With pressure applied to the reed, say word “kee-kee” with even rhythm.
Yelp: With pressure applied to reed, say the words “chick” or “chuck” with even rhythm.
Cluck: With pressure applied to reed, say the word “puck” with even rhythm.
If the call feels too large for your mouth, trim tape up to 1/16″.
